Music Samples, Credits, and Video pages updated!
Welcome to the new www.dandiazmusic.com! Recent work has included music and sound design being placed in trailers for "Iron Man 3", "Deadpool", "End of Watch", "The Mortal Instruments", "Captain Phillips", and "The Last Exorcism 2". Dan also just released "Anti-Hero Volume 6: The Futurist", and is continually writing television, film, and advertising cues for a couple of additional publishers.
Recent work has included Anti-Hero music and sound design being placed in trailers for “The Avengers”, “The Grey”, “UFC Undisputed 3” (custom score), and “Call Of Duty: Elite” (featured on the media page). Dan is currently working on “Anti-Hero: Volume 5” as well as composing music for some other TV/Film publishers.
Dan spent the last several months completing Volume 3 of his company Anti-Hero’s collection of trailer music, as well as a new collection of sound design elements. Recent trailer placements include “Apollo 18” from the Weinstein Company! He also produced, recorded, mixed, and performed on Jakob Martin’s “California Songs”, Jennell’s “The Game EP”, and Derek Evans’ “Living Amongst Animals”.
Welcome to the new dandiazmusic.com! To get you up to speed, Dan spend most of last summer producing EPs for a couple of cool artists, Jakob Martin and Dawn Mitschele, in his new studio on the Westside of Los Angeles. You can find a couple of tracks from those sessions of the “Samples” page. He then spent the Fall producing and composing Volume 2 of his company Anti-Hero’s collection of music for film and video game advertising, which will be released at the beginning of next month. A few of those cues are available in the “Composing” section of the “Samples” page, as well! Recent television placements have included Dan’s song “Make You Happen” being featured on the new Fox show “Raising Hope”!
The trailer for the upcoming film "The Killer Inside Me", starring Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba, features Dan's cue "Breakdown" from his company Anti-Hero. It can be heard from 1:35 to the end!
Another cool Skate 3 review from Machinima had this mention: "With any extreme sports game you expect fantastic sound and once again, Skate 3 comes equipped with an amazing playlist for you to get your skate on! Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo and Del the Funkee Homosapien are involved with some of the music, and Dan Diaz, composer of the first two Skate games returns as the composer for Skate 3." Always cool to get a mention with Mark Mothersbaugh (Member of Devo, composer for "Rushmore", "Royal Tenenbaums", "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou", and many others)!
Skate 3 is out! Game Daily says: "Skate 3 has one of the best soundtracks we've heard in a while, filled with everything from alternative rock to groovy rap beats...". A montage of the music Dan did for the game is available on the samples page. Make sure to pick up a copy of the game that Game Informer calls "The Next Best Thing To Real Skateboarding"!

Happy new year! Dan recently completed music for the upcoming Electronic Arts Game "Skate 3" for the Xbox360 and Playstation 3.
Dan has recently had music featured on many TV shows, including MTV's "Nitro Circus", VH1's "My Antonio", and NBC and E Network productions.
Dan is working on a new game for Electronic Arts.
Dan is heading to the E3 conference in LA. Also, "Skate 2" has officially sold over 1 million copies!

"Skate 2" is out! Playstation:The Official Magazine has called it "quite possibly the best skating game ever" which is very exciting.
Happy new year! Dan spent the end of 2008 writing tracks for various music libraries, had his music featured in Toyota's recent national "Toyotathon 2008" ad campaign, and also spent time collaborating with game composer Adam Gubman (Pirates of the Burning Sea, Twin Skies, Luxor 2) on some great new hybrid cues. They combine their diversities to bring you high energy, orchestral hybrids with an electronic edge, and are sure to take their collaboration into some exciting new games. These tracks can be found in the "Reel/Samples" section. Also, in very exciting news, "Skate 2" is now less than 2 weeks away from release! Be sure to pick up a copy of what is sure to be an amazing game. Samples of Dan's work on it can now also be found in the "Reel/Samples" section. Finally, stay tuned for some exciting new projects, including a collaboration with composers James Guymon and Grammy winner Ricky Lawson, Dan's score for the short film "The Lonely Grave of Linus Bradbury", as well as some that are still under wraps. 2009 is looking to be a very exciting year!
